Children's Product Certificate CPC

Certification refers to the written Children's Product Certificate (CPC) issued by manufacturers and importers of children's products to prove that their products meet the corresponding children's product safety regulations. CPCs and supported test reports must be in English and cover their product identification information. Certification of children's products must be based on test results from a third-party laboratory accredited by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Children's product certificate content

1. Product identification information covered by this certificate: must provide sufficient details to describe each product within the scope of certification;
2. Each CPSC Children's Product Safety Regulation referenced by the certified product: The certification must be specific to each individual children's product safety regulation applicable to the children's product.
3. U.S. importer or manufacturer conformity certification mark for the product: Provide the importer's name, complete mailing address, phone number, or U.S. domestic product manufacturer certification.
4. Contact information of test data maintenance personnel: Provide the name, complete correspondence address, email address, and phone number of test data maintainers used to support certification.
5. Product production date and production address: For the production date, provide at least the year and month of production. For the address of production, provide at least the city (or administrative district), state (if applicable) and country information where the product was produced or last assembled. If the same manufacturer has multiple business addresses in the same city, the street address of the factory must also be provided.
6. Date and address of CPSC compliance testing: The date the test location, test, or test report is provided.
7. CPSC-accredited third-party laboratories that perform conformity tests required for certification: provide laboratory name, complete correspondence address and phone number. Registered manufacturers of low-volume products are not required to undergo certain third-party testing of the Children's Product Safety Regulations, and must include the registration number provided by the CPSC in this section. (Products produced by registered small-batch product manufacturers still need to comply with the corresponding children's product safety regulations).
