Primary Purpose:

To prevent risks such as climbing, falling, entrapment, component detachment, and chemical poisoning for infants and toddlers under the age of 3, providing a safe and independent play space for children and ensuring personal safety during home gaming activities.


Standard Definition:

EN 12227 is the mandatory safety standard for home game fences in the European Union. It applies to plastic and metal-based home children's game fences and complies with REACH regulations and the EU GPSD directive requirements. It serves as the core basis for compliance in the EU market and cross-border e-commerce platforms.


Testing and Certification Requirements:

Must undergo testing by a recognized EU-approvedthird party as a basis for CE certification:

Structural Safety: Height  60 cm, pillar spacing< 6 cm, 200 N pull without deformation;

Anti-clogging and Anti-detachment: No removable small components, 6 cm sphere test without entrapment Material Safety: Lead  90 ppm,Cadmium s 75 ppm, total phthalates  0.1%, formaldehyde s 0.1 mg/m3;

Durability Test: 1000 simulated climbs without tipping;

Marking Requirements: Marked for use by children under 3 years old and "Requires adult supervision" warning.
