Purpose:
This is a mandatory European Union standard aimed at preventing risks associated with baby walkers, such as tipping over, entanglement, falls, suffocation, chemicalhazards, and ensuring the safety of infants and toddlers when using these products.
Standard Definition:
Applicable: Walkers designed for infants who can sit independently to thosewho can walk independently, with a weight limit of 12 kg. Not applicable: Medical-use walkers, inflatable support walkers, and toy-type walkers.
Testing and Certification Requirements:
Testing: Structural strength, stability / anti-tip, anti-step fall, speed limiter, anti-entrapment / anti-sharp edges, seat safety, folding lock, chemical (EN71/REACH), flame retardancy.
Certification: ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory testing, CE marking, with warning and usage instructions affixed.
