Primary Purpose:

This EU mandatory standard regulates the safety of household bed rests, cradles, bedside beds, and other products for infants, preventing risks such as entrapment, falls, suffocation, poisoning, and ensuring sleep safety.


Standard Definition:

Applicable: Bed interiors with a length  900 mm, intended for use by infants up to the point they can sit/climb independently. Not applicable: Medical beds, electrical safety, products convertible into other furniture.


Testing and Certification Requirements:

Testing: Gap 60 mm,no sharp edges or corners; structural strength/stability/load-bearing/locking/removable component tensile strength; mattress compatibility, flame retardancy, chemical (REACH, EN71-3), gnawing test. Certification: ISOVIEC 17025 laboratory testing, CE mark affixation, indication of applicable age, safety warnings, and standard number.
